Controlling a drone from your wrist Bond checking the time One of my favourite parts from James Bond movies has always been Q introducing the latest gadgets from MI6's research laboratory. This project began over 6 months ago. I had a smartwatch that ran Android (5.1 for the curious), but I could not think of a use for it other than its intended purpose -- one that I found was largely irrelevant to my lifestyle af ter I wore it for a couple of weeks. I finally decided I wanted to try to control one of my drones from the watch, similar to what you might see in a Bond or Mission Impossible film. I ended up getting caught up in trying to install Linux on my laptop and so I never properly began the project. I already had everything I needed -- the drone, laptop and smartwatch.
